Queer Arts Collective (QAC) is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to uplifting LGBTQIA+ artists and cultural workers by fostering vibrant creative communities, advancing equity in the arts, and creating spaces where queer stories can thrive. We produce exhibitions, workshops, and events that center queer experiences and cultivate a sense of belonging.

Position Summary

The fundraising manager plays an essential role in helping QAC grow our community of supporters and secure the resources needed to power our programs. This position designs and implements donor campaigns and fundraising events, supports the cultivation of major gifts, and collaborates on compelling communications that inspire giving. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves storytelling, relationship-building, and mobilizing communities around a mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign & Event Management

    • Plan, organize, and execute donor campaigns, appeals, and fundraising events (virtual and in-person).

    • Collaborate with the Development Director and volunteers to deliver engaging experiences for donors and prospects.
       

  • Donor Cultivation & Stewardship

    • Support the identification and cultivation of major gift prospects.

    • Assist in developing strategies to build relationships with individual donors, foundations, and community partners.
       

  • Communications & Storytelling

    • Help draft campaign messaging, appeals, and donor materials that communicate QAC’s impact.

    • Collaborate on content for newsletters, social media, and the website to promote campaigns.
       

  • Tracking & Reporting

    • Monitor campaign performance and donor engagement metrics.

    • Maintain organized records of donor interactions and campaign results to inform future efforts.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising, campaign management, event planning, or related fields (professional or volunteer).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in persuasive storytelling.

  • Comfortable working with donor management tools or spreadsheets (training can be provided).

  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.

  • Passionate about advancing LGBTQIA+ equity and supporting queer artists.
