Queer Arts Collective (QAC) is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to uplifting LGBTQIA+ artists and cultural workers by fostering vibrant creative communities, advancing equity in the arts, and creating spaces where queer stories can thrive. We produce exhibitions, workshops, and events that center queer experiences and cultivate a sense of belonging.

Position Summary

The Volunteer Donor Relations Coordinator helps ensure that every donor to QAC feels valued and appreciated. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, sending timely acknowledgments, and supporting stewardship activities that build lasting relationships with our supporters. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, communication, and being part of a mission-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Management & Recordkeeping

    • ​Manage and regularly update donor records in the CRM system (e.g., spreadsheets or donor software).

    • Ensure all gifts and pledges are recorded accurately.
       

  • Acknowledgment & Communication

    • ​Draft and send prompt thank-you letters, emails, and receipts to donors.

    • Help prepare donor impact updates and other communications.
       

  • Stewardship & Engagement

    • ​Coordinate donor stewardship activities such as recognition lists, holiday cards, or personalized outreach.

    • Support cultivation of donor relationships by helping track important milestones and interactions.
       

  • Event & Campaign Support

    • Provide accurate donor lists and data to inform events, fundraising campaigns, and mailings.

    • Assist with event follow-up communications and post-campaign acknowledgments.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience with donor relations, customer service, or administrative support (professional or volunteer).

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, databases, or CRM systems (training can be provided).

  • Enthusiasm for QAC’s mission and LGBTQIA+ equity.
